Examination Table
I need some help. What would you do if your Vet didn’t clean the examination table?

I took my little puppy to the Vets last week and the vet refused to clean the table down after i pointed out the hundreds of hairs from the previous dog on the examination table. As this is a rubber mat that was horrifically filthy and the Vet argued with me that it was healthier than a stainless steel table I want to take this futher.. is there anyone I can report them to for being unclean.. I don’t even know if he washed his hands after treating the other dog ( they kept it in as well) also it was my puppies first injection… my puppy was ill today.. can you help..please?? I also want to know if anyone else has this problem with their vets and what they think of the stainless steel examination table as opposed to the wooden old bench with a stip of rubber mat across it? ps.. i might add i refused to put my puppy on that table.. the vet held him with one hand (despite me asking him if he wanted me to hold him) and injected him with the other..puppy was in agony all day

Hi, This is disgusting! I work as a Vet Receptionist and it is pure hygiene to wash down tables with surgical spirit (or similar) after each and every examination!

I would advise that you write a complaint in the first instance to the Practice Manager of your Vets, who is obliged to take your complaint further.
